Synchronization of Spin-Torque Oscillators via Continuation Method

چکیده
In this paper we study synchronization phenomena of spin-torque oscillators coupled on a ring. Spin-torque are nanoelectronic devices that promise efficient microwave generation provided they synchronized in large arrays. Due to their nonlinear and non-isochronous nature, properties difficult analyse explicitly. To address challenge, employ recently developed continuation method transform the network (each described by an ordinary differential equation) into single partial equation (PDE). We then PDE two cases: when all identical there different types oscillators. case oscillators, characterize possible synchronous solutions provide necessary sufficient conditions for stability. For non-identical derive solve condition, which allows us accurately reconstruct shape equilibrium profiles. All presented results derived validated numerical simulations original ODEs.

Fractional synchronization of spin-torque nano-oscillators.
We experimentally demonstrate a series of fractional synchronization regimes (Devil's staircase) in a spin-torque nano-oscillator driven by a microwave field. These regimes are characterized by rational relations between the driving frequency and the frequency of the oscillation. An analysis based on the phase model of auto-oscillator indicates that fractional synchronization becomes possible w...

We study dynamics of a serial array of spin-torque oscillators with a parallel inductor-capacitor-resistor (LCR) load. In a large range of parameters the fully synchronous regime, where all the oscillators have the same state and the output field is maximal, is shown to be stable. However, not always such a robust complete synchronization develops from a random initial state; in many cases nont...
متن کاملDescribing synchronization and topological excitations in arrays of magnetic spin torque oscillators through the Kuramoto model
The collective dynamics in populations of magnetic spin torque oscillators (STO) is an intensely studied topic in modern magnetism. Here, we show that arrays of STO coupled via dipolar fields can be modeled using a variant of the Kuramoto model, a well-known mathematical model in non-linear dynamics. By investigating the collective dynamics in arrays of STO we find that the synchronization in s...
متن کاملMutual synchronization of spin torque nano-oscillators through a long-range and tunable electrical coupling scheme
The concept of spin-torque-driven high-frequency magnetization dynamics, allows the potential construction of complex networks of non-linear dynamical nanoscale systems, combining the field of spintronics and the study of non-linear systems. In the few previous demonstrations of synchronization of several spin-torque oscillators, the short-range nature of the magnetic coupling that was used has...

Researches in spintronics, especially those remarkably classified in the current induced spin-transfer torque (STT) framework, circumvent challenges with different materials and geometries. Perpendicular magnetic anisotropy (PMA) materials are showing capability of holding promise to be employed in STT based spintronics elements, e.g. spin-torque oscillators (STOs), STT-magnetoresistive random ...
